Beautiful design from the land of Zachte G
This is the skyline of Maastricht with the Sint Servaasbridge and the Mosasaurus they found in the Maas. Sacha buys paintings on a flea market. She works them with a specific laser technique. With this technique Sacha burns her drawings, which she digitally makes, into the paint of the original painting. This work is part of the project 'Trash poetry', this is a collection transformed, wasted oil paintings. The idea behind this work is to let people look at waste once again and to show them the beauty and opportunities of it, despite the fact that it has already been depreciated.
This work contains three paintings. This work was created by Sacha in 2009. She used oil paint and laser on canvas. This work is a triptych. Measurements: 169 x 35,5 cm. The painting is ready made up to hang up on a wall.
This work can be viewed by appointment.

Sacha looks for contradictions. In her current project 'Trash poetry' she transforms wasted landscapes to her own surrealistic world. The project 'Trash poetry' is a very good example of how the cradle 2 cradle philosophy can be put into use to create something beautiful. She once heard someone say that aesthetics means intensifying the perception. That's the feeling she wants to achieve.
Sacha graduated at the Academy of Visual Arts Maastricht in 2002, her main subject was textile. At first she became designer in the textile industry at Artex and now she's working for Vescom b.v. Besides this job, she concentrates on making free work.
